Change of Start Procedure. Contrary to the Final Instructions, but in accordance with the Clerk of the Course Briefing, the lap from assembly area will NOT constitute the Green Flag Lap.

Cars will be led from the assembly area to the grid behind the Safety Car. Cars will then be lined up on the grid where mechanics may be permitted on the grid for a short period. There will then be a 1 minute countdown procedure, after which the green signal will be shown to commence the green flag lap.

Once the cars have returned to the grid, a 5 seconds board will be shown. The red starting lights will be switched on, and then between 2-7 seconds later they will be switched off, signalling the start.
