ST240 Race Start Procedure Saturday Only

Cars to be in the assembly area for the 1st ST240 race when race 1 the Mini Se7en’s have been released from the assembly area.
Cars will be gridded in the assembly area.
Once race 1 has finished and the circuit is clear we will parade cars round to the grid behind the safety car and place you in grid positions for the grid walk.
Do not treat this lap to the grid as a Green Flag lap. This must be a procession lap behind the Safety Car, and no weaving, tyre warming, or brake heating is permitted.
Please remember you must be fully suited, helmets, belts and gloves on before leaving the assembly area.
The grid walk will be cleared 15 min before the start of your race.
There will be an Audible warning and 3 min board shown, clear the grid, grid closed, start engines.
There will be a one-minute countdown; then 30 second board displayed on the start line, and then the cars will be flagged away for the Green Flag Lap.
At the end of the Green Flag lap, Competitors must approach the grid with caution to be gridded by marshals. Once all drivers are stationary, the 5 second board will be shown, and the red start lights will be displayed.
At some time between 2 and 7 seconds the red lights will switch off – signaling the start of the race.
Please note. If your car is unable to join the grid for the grid walk, (and should there be enough time remaining before the green flag countdown) you will have the opportunity to join by pushing (not driving) your car onto the grid and into your grid position. (Marshals will direct you through one of the pit lane access gates). This MUST be completed and all personnel off the circuit BEFORE the green flag countdown starts.
If the marshals decide that you are too late to take up your starting position safely, you will be directed by the Marshals to either position your car at the back of the grid, or if there is no time left, to the end of the pit lane whereby you can join the race after the race start.
